Grow Native Nursery Stocks CA OFG Plants

Paul Herzog and Katarina Eriksson Discuss CA Natives For OFGs

Pamela and Paul Herzog, Surfrider Foundation’s Ocean Friendly Gardens Program Coordinator, checked out the CA native nursery, Grow Native Nursery,  set up at the Veterans’ Administration property in Westwood, CA.

Renovation of the 15-acre growing grounds and demonstration site was the brainchild of Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden and the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System.  Katarina Eriksson, Grow Native Nursery manager, directs the daily operations and serves as the RSABG representative at the site. Katarina manages the care, propagation and maintenance of plants cultivated at the garden and supervises nursery and garden workers, including the veterans who will be engaging in the horticultural therapy program offered by the VA.

Karen Stern, G3 Founding Member, Shops at Grow Native

G3’s very own Founding Member, Karen Stern was recently caught on film as she shopped for a client at Grow Native. This is a great new resource for Los Angelenos who need quality CA native plants to meet their Ocean Friendly Gardens Yard Sign Criteria.  Check it out!
