G3’s Pamela Berstler ate cake with the Orange County Landscape Design Network, and talked about pending legislative issues affecting the California landscape design community. An excellent turnout of landscape designers and landscape contractors fueled a spirited discussion of the key role landscape professionals play in shaping the environmental issues facing our communities.
The OCLDN meets monthly at various venues to discuss issues affecting landscape design professionals in Orange County. This gathering was hosted by Denise and John Pulley in their lovely living room — bursting to capacity but amply supplied with elegant wine glasses.
APLD members Katie Cool, Laura Dalton and Julie Garland were on hand to share their insight as members of the organization leading the efforts to create a residential landscape design exemption from the CA Landscape Architects’ Practice Act.
The Orange County Landscape Design Network provides networking services among landscape designers who primarily reside and work in Orange County. It provides a forum to share ideas and to promote growth in landscape design and in the horticulture field. In addition, it is a resource for residential clients, commercial developers and government agencies that need landscape design, installation and maintenance services.
