G3 Launches (VOW) Voice Of The Watersheds Project

G3 COM Workshop Focus Group

G3’s Voice of the Watersheds (VOW) Project, lifted off last week with the first G3 Communication Workshop Focus Group.  Seven G3 educators and activists from across California, joined G3 Associate, Marianne Simon in a day-long workshop designed to hone their personal presentation styles into dynamic and effective voices for the environment.

The Communication Workshop has been in development for nearly a year, spearheaded by Marianne’s desire to combine her years of performance training and directorial skills with her love of sustainable landscape principles and practice, all in the service of strengthening the effectiveness of the human voices that are called upon to speak for the environment. The Communication Workshop is a small-scale workshop with no more than 8 participants working in groups and as individuals practicing the presentation of the Watershed Basics Class or a sample presentation that encompasses most of the elements that differentiate G3 presentations – interactive elements, role playing, etc.

This kind of one-on-one, hands-on, peer-to-peer training is unique to G3, and is essential for delivering consistently high quality presentations. By continuously improving our group voice, G3 is able to deliver on its promise to clients that the G3 programs will be fun and engaging classes taught by knowledgeable and dynamic presenters.

The G3 Voice Of The Watersheds Project includes:

  • Communication Workshops (Group)
  • VOW Workshops (Group), and
  • VOW Private Presentation Consulting.

Regular Communication Workshops starting in September 2012, will ensure that there are plenty of G3 Qualified Trainers to teach upcoming classes in Southern California.  VOW Workshops for members of the General Public who deal with environmental issues and VOW Presentation Consulting to help individuals and organizations transform their presentation effectiveness by creating and delivering more dynamic environmental presentations will begin immediately.

Many thanks to the G3 Associates who helped Marianne launch this program including: Renee Roth (Oxnard), Laura Bauer (Ventura), Stephanie Bartron (Los Angeles), Korina Qu Petrozzi (Orange County), Susan Krzywicki (San Diego), Scott Harris (Thousand Oaks), and Maureen Decombe (NorCal). Thanks also goes out to Jane Rose Linesch (Los Angeles).
