Water Replenishment District
Eco Gardener Program
Discover the wonders of sustainable gardening with the Water Replenishment District’s (WRD) Eco Gardener Program! Since its launch in 2006, WRD has teamed up with cities and non-profit organizations to bring you dynamic landscaping classes that not only educate but also inspire.
Immerse yourself in our free Eco Gardener workshops, hosted in community centers throughout the region. From sustainable landscape design to drought-tolerant plants, edible gardening, and irrigation basics, these interactive sessions cover it all. Led by seasoned instructors, each workshop begins with an engaging presentation and evolves into an outdoor garden walkthrough or demonstration, offering valuable insights into local climates and plant varieties.
Join us for one or attend them all – either way, you’ll leave with knowledge about sustainable garden design concepts, along with expert tips on plant and material selections to create your very own water-efficient oasis. Spanish-language workshops are also available
