Join us IN PERSON, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, for a free Tips for Proper Pruning workshop, hosted by the Water Replenishment District of Southern California and City of Signal Hill. Come join us for a taste and learn more about:
Most people prune too timidly, at the wrong time of year, or not at all. In this hands-on class you’ll learn the principles that govern every pruning decision, then apply them across groups that behave differently.
- Understand different types of plants (trees, woody shrubs, tender perennials, ornamental grasses, and edible gardens)
- Knowing when, where, and how to prune certain plants/trees
- The reasons to prune; health, structure, size, shape, and productivity in the edible garden
The class is free, but advance registration is required. Please register below
Start time is 10:00 am. We’ll be opening the doors a few minutes early to make sure you have plenty of time to get settled.
