Join us on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, for a free three- hour Live Zoom Webinar on, “Trees, Growing the Urban Forest,” hosted by Southern California Gas Company in collaboration with The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.

It is no secret that trees are vital to the health of the planet, and even more so during times of unprecedented climate change. Attendees will learn the steps necessary to plant, protect and maintain trees in their landscape and community.

  • Understand the essential benefits trees provide in an urban setting
  • Discover how trees collaborate in the landscape
  • Explore proper placement of trees in the landscape to maximize a property’s energy and water efficiency, while reducing maintenance
  • Review proper planting and staking protocols
  • Develop irrigation plans for efficiently watering trees and transitioning trees planted in lawn
  • Develop a successful maintenance practice to ensure survival

Greetings. Thank you for your interest in this event!! For those of you interested in paying by credit card, you certainly can. PayPal is only the processor for our financial transactions, but you don’t have to pay that way. When you click on the Paypal button it takes you to a screen with the option to Pay by Card. After selecting that, you’ll be asked to enter your email and phone for verification. You'll then receive a secure log-in code to access payment by Credit Card. Whew!
