Design seminar 2Join Surfrider Foundation, San Diego County Water Authority, San Diego County Watershed Protection Program, City of San Diego, California American Water and the Association of Compost Producers for a Sustainable Landscapes Design Seminar. This seminar is part of San Diego’s Sustainable Landscapes Program.

We will gather on Saturday June 4th at the Lakeside Community Center to learn how to create a sustainable landscape through a watershed based design and appropriate plant selection.

Travel with us to a virtual nursery where you will learn how to identify and select healthy, climate appropriate Southern California Friendly Plants for the right location in your garden and how to avoid invasive plants.  This three hour workshop will help you develop your own plant list, understand design objectives, identify obstacles to successful implementation of your landscape design, and help you create strategies for overcoming those obstacles.  Bring a 1/4″ scale drawing of your property (a site plan) to this class for more specific ideas for YOUR sustainable landscape.

Additional dates for classes in this series will be available soon.
