The event is hosted by San Diego County Watershed Protection Program along with it’s partners, Surfrider Foundation, San Diego County Water Authority, City of San Diego, California American Water and the Association of Compost Producers, as part of the San Diego Sustainable Landscapes Program. This three-hour interactive workshop identifies the steps for successfully designing a watershed wise and sustainable landscape – including;
- Understanding and contouring for rainwater
- Creating a list of climate appropriate plants
- Placing plant symbols on a plan using key design principals.
- Bring a 1/4″ scale drawing of your property (a site plan) to this class so you can apply specific ideas to YOUR landscape.
