Gardens for Kids and Pets – Rowland WD

Join us in person on Saturday, September 26, 2026, for a free Gardens for Kids and Pets class hosted by Rowland Water District. This class is available to Rowland Water District service area residents only.

Gardens are meant to be enjoyed by all members of the family, be it adults, children, or the family pet. Join us to find out more about providing safe, welcoming spaces for the entire household. Attendees will learn about:

1. What makes a garden truly ‘kid friendly’
2. Developing fun, stimulating gardens beyond turfgrass lawns
3. Landscaping with safety of both kids and pets in mind
4. Managing animal waste
5. Integrating child and pet areas into the rest of the landscape

The class is free, but advance registration is required. Please make sure to sign up below.

Start time is 10:00 am.  We’ll be opening the doors a few minutes early to make sure you have plenty of time to settle in.
