Join us for a ZOOM Webinar on Thursday, March 18, 2027, for a free CRLA: Landscapes Use Rain, Gray and Reclaimed Water workshop hosted by Santa Clara Valley Water District.

Landscapes Use Rain, Gray, and Reclaimed Water: Rain is a free resource, yet it is invaluable in the landscape. If the goal is to conserve water, reduce runoff, and support a healthy, thriving landscape, this class gives you the tools and knowledge to make the most out of this precious resource. We show you how to integrate supplemental water sources like gray water and recycled water to boost the effectiveness of your rainwater capture strategy. Topics include:

• Select which rainwater capture method is best for your site
• Properly size and site a rain garden, swale, infiltration area, or flow-through planter
• Redirect rain from roof to garden, even on slopes, small spaces, and tight corners
• Design a landscape to maximize its overall permeability
• Utilize storage devices to hold on to even more water, if the situation calls for it
• Explore laundry-to-landscape graywater systems and tips for recycling water
