I have been to hundreds of garden building projects but, I have never witnessed such a well organized plan and well organized execution until today at this Planting & Irrigation Hands On Workshop.
Kathy Kellogg Johnson, Chief Sustainability Officer, Kellogg Garden Products

Studies show we retain 10% of what we read, 50% of what we see and hear, but 90% of what we DO. Surfrider volunteers have learned to evaluate, prepare and build Ocean Friendly Gardens at G3 led workshops. If we want more people to transform landscapes, we need more Hands on Workshops.

Paul Herzog, Former National Coordinator, Surfrider Foundation Ocean Friendly Gardens
From the looks of faces at the end of the Hands on Workshop, these people are ready to get dirty and transform their lawns into drought-tolernt gardens. We are definitely planning on doing more HOWs in the future.
Kimberly Smith, Water Conservation Specialist, California American Water
