G3-About-OurWork-20140809_LA_HOW_LBG#1_20Join us to learn how to contour the landscape for capturing rainwater from the roof and how to remove turf and build healthy living soil through a process called Sheet Mulching (or Soil Lasagna).

This Lawn Be Gone (HOW) will take place in San Marcos, CA on Friday evening, August 26th from 3:30 PM til 6:30 PM. The event is hosted by San Diego County Watershed Protection Program along with it’s partners, Surfrider Foundation, San Diego County Water Authority, City of San Diego, California American Water and the Association of Compost Producers, as part of the San Diego Sustainable Landscapes Program.

The event is free, but registration is required. Scroll down and complete the registration below to secure your place in the class.  Each person attending the class must register. A confirmation will be sent with more instructions and parking instructions, if they are necessary.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a shovel, if you have one. A hat, garden gloves, sunscreen, and water bottle also are recommended if you want to be hands-on in the garden. You will not be permitted in the garden with open-toe shoes. There will be no exceptions.
