Take Back the Turf, our strategy to transition commercial non-functional turf into a highly biodiverse and water conserving groundcover makes its debut in San Juan Capistrano. Join us on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 for an Open House and Stomp ‘N Romp. We’ll give you an insider look at the Flower to the People, Inc pilot project at San Juan Capistrano’s Costco Wholesale. Attendees will be able to:
- Walk the site with the F2P team and learn more about Take Back the Turf strategy
- Participate in evaluating the site for key biodiversity indecies including plants, insects and birds
- Actively encourage new plant growth with a Stomp ‘N Romp group activity that connects humans to the soil microbiology beneath their shoes

Parking is plentiful in the adjacent Costco lot.
Please wear closed-toed shoes and dress comfortably for running around in a garden. A hat, sunscreen, gloves, and water bottle also are recommended. You will not be permitted in the garden with open-toed shoes. There will be no exceptions.
