In honor of Coastal Cleanup Day, the City of Carpinteria is hosting a California Friendly Landscape Class on Saturday, September 19, 2015, starting at 1:00 PM.

This three hour class is an overview to making a California Friendly or Ocean Friendly Garden, which reduces water use, supports the plants you select and eliminates pollution from our waterways.  This type of garden uses what is now called the “watershed approach” to landscaping, and will help you keep green during drought and reduce floods when it rains — the best of all worlds.

The event is free, but registration is required. Start time: 1:00 PM
