Join us to learn how to contour the landscape for capturing rainwater from the roof and how to remove turf and build healthy living soil through a process called Sheet Mulching (or Soil Lasagna).

This Lawn Be Gone (HOW) will take place at a private residence in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 9:00 AM til 1:00 PM.  The event is hosted by LADWP.

This is the first HOW in a SERIES:  Turf Removal 9/7 and Planting & Irrigation 9/14.  Join us for one HOW or both.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a shovel, if you have one. A hat, sunscreen, and water bottle also are recommended if you want to be hands-on in the garden. You will not be permitted in the garden with open-toe shoes. There will be no exceptions.

The event is free, but registration is required, as seating is limited. Registration is taken HERE.

Each person attending the class must register. This HOW is conducted at a private residence. The address will be confirmed via email to you within a week of the event date.

Start time: 9:00 AM, so try to arrive 15 minutes early in order to sign in.

Greetings. Thank you for your interest in this event!! For those of you interested in paying by credit card, you certainly can. PayPal is only the processor for our financial transactions, but you don’t have to pay that way. When you click on the Paypal button it takes you to a screen with the option to Pay by Card. After selecting that, you’ll be asked to enter your email and phone for verification. You'll then receive a secure log-in code to access payment by Credit Card. Whew!
