Project Description

The Los Angeles Conservation Corps provides at-risk young adults and school-aged youth with opportunities for success through job skills training, education and work experience with an emphasis on conservation and service projects that benefit the community. Since its founding in 1986 LACC has become a national leader in youth and workforce development and alternative education for inner-city youth/young adults. LACC is the largest urban conservation corps in the nation with a full-time staff of over 150 employees who serve over 17,000 young people each year.

G3 has trained LACC youth and staff through a variety of professional workshops including a custom developed program called Water Efficiency Professional Training Program (WEPT), a week long course in the basic math and science necessary for launching a career in the landscape industry.
