Thornless Hawthorne OFG Landscape Class

Thornless Hawthorne OFG Landscape Class

We encountered nothing prickly at the Ocean Friendly Gardens Basics Class yesterday, hosted by Don Rowe, Community Library Manager at the Hawthorne Library and West Basin MWD.

Hawthorne Library OFG Class

Can’t think of a groovier place to debut the revised West Basin MWD OFG Basics Class–See yourself sitting on those genuine 1970’s chairs? For three hours? What kept these homeowners in their seats?

As usual, almost everyone said they came for plant information; but, the exit poll said they’d learned something new about soil and runoff.  Most of the group was stoked about getting started next weekend by putting down mulch, tearing their turf, or going native plant shopping.  To get more hands-on experience, join us at an upcoming Hands-on Workshop (HOW). If you need a refresher, watch a West Basin Video.

For those who get the principles but don’t see themselves doing the work, hire a G3 Certified Professional.

Next class is in Malibu on Saturday, March 19th 9 – 12 noon at 23815 Stuart Ranch Road, Malibu 90265. See you there!
