Lovely APLD Summer Evening In The Lafayette CA Orchard

One of the great benefits of serving in the leadership of the California Chapter of Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) is mixing with the sponsors, members, and guests at events like  this one, hosted by the East Bay District at Orchard Nursery in Lafayette, CA. G3’s Pamela Berstler, current APLD CA Legislative Chair and 2013 President-Elect, filled in for traveling President, Laura Morton, to attend the event. Social events like this one are so important to building the relationships we need to both get our personal business done effectively and gather allies in our agenda of transforming the California landscape industry’s recognition of Landscape Designers.

The perfect East Bay evening (cooling off after a hot day, combined with a few glasses of delicious sangria, and a scrumptious quesadilla, add 50 landscape industry colleagues and California Chapter sponsors, and stir — that’s the East Bay’s recipe for event success!

“Are these photos color-coordinated?” wonders Maureen Decombe (Past CA Pres.) with Linda McSwain, and Tina Rose (Gold Sponsor – Devil Mountain Nursery)

Overheard in the mix from one of the sponsors, “I love coming to APLD events. You guys are so approachable and interested in new ideas and products. It’s a pleasure working with people who are so knowledgeable and passionate about their work…”  We at G3 couldn’t agree more.
